Tokyo Olympics Dream Drifts Away -Nakaayi & Nanyondo Out

Ugandan athletes Halimah Nakaayi and Winnie Nanyondo have missed out on medals during the Saturday run in Tokyo, Japan.

Nakaayi finished 8th posting 2:04.44 while Nanyondo came 5th with 1:59.84SB.

Their Tokyo 2020 Olympics dream has ended in semis.

However, Winnie will be going for the 1500m.

The UWA middle distance duo Friday powered their way into Women’s 800m semifinals in a close race won by France’s Renelle Lamote (2:01.92).
