St. Balikuddembe Owino Market vendors in Kampala city under their association SLOA have cried out over the market’s Land Title and rightful ownership.
This develops at a time when the vendors secured their lawful ownership of the market against its rival association through a recent court order after presenting their Land Title.
They claim that their rivals are using police and other security agencies who are evident on the market premises to intimidate and pose threats to their claims of ownership in order to vacate them.
On this note, SLOA has asked the New Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba to intervene into the matters that seem to not end.
They vendors have vowed not to vacate the market premises since it belongs to them and shall continue to operate their day to day businesses in whatsoever situation.
