Uganda’s Athlete Peruth Chemutai has just won the women’s Olympic 3000m steeplechase gold medal today in Tokyo, Japan.
The 22-year-old Ugandan medalist finished first at 9:01.45sec at the Olympic Stadium out pacing American C. Frerichs and Kenya’s H. Kiyeng to win the gold medal.
Frerichs claimed silver in 9:04.79 with Kenyan Kiyeng taking bronze timed at 9:05.39secs.
