Museveni’s State of the Nation Address on COVID-19 to Air Tomorrow

President Museveni will address the Nation this Friday July 31, 2021 at 8pm on Covid-19 and any other related issues. The address will be aired live on all Television and Radio stations as revised from the previous statement from Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja where He was supposed to appear to brief the country on COVID-19 updates on Saturday 13th July.

Meanwhile, citizens have been urged to stay calm and continue observing SOPs and other Presidential directives. This comes at a time when citizens, politicians, businessmen and organizations are pushing the government to lift the COVID-19 lock down and accept citizens back to their workplaces as observing the SOPs and guidelines to curb the spread of the disease.

Ugandans are hoping that the president will initiate a phased opening as opposed to an extension.

According to the Ministry of Health data, 1.1 million people have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 as the country can not still wait for the delayed vaccination doses which they say is crippling their incomes and the country’s economy.
