Uganda’s athletes set to be on the starting line of the Men’s 5000m final for the Friday event on August 6 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Oscar Chelimo, Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo have qualified for the medal event after the race today.
Chelimo recorded pace of 13:39.07 to finished fourth in the Heat 1 series. Kiplimo and Cheptegei finished 4th and 5th respectively in a fast-paced Heat 2 series.
The Ugandan athletes now qualify for the Friday Medal event.
