A 36 year old business man has been found dead. The late Sserunkuuma George was a resident of kitebi Kampala with roots of sabinyi in kapchorwa district.
His lifeless body was found lying in a nearby bush on Monday afternoon with hand and feet tied in a no escape position. The deceased body was first spotted a passerby who was on his way to his business. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased’s body cuts on the neck, hands and piercings in the abdominal area and the face an indication that he was brutally murdered. Witnesses say the incident has left residents in shock since the deceased and the family are good people in their community.
Jackson Khaukha, one of the community members said the deceased has been man of the people when ever is visited his home area. And attributes the crime to the primitive traditional beliefs of the society which The late was strongly against since he is a saved man. He adds that the deceased is survived by his wife Nakitende Juliet (whereabouts unknown since 2019) and adds the victim has been missing for three weeks since he visited from Kampala city. Police spokes man in the area Henry Niwabine described the incident as unfortunate, adding that they had picked up some suspects to aid their investigations.
One crime scene witness said they have lost four people in similar manner within a space of two months, which raises concern. He begged security to step up it’s operations to curb the vice. Henry Niwabine said efforts to establish the masterminds of the murders in kapchorwa district are on going. The deceased body was handed over to kapchorwa hospital for postmortem.
